East Granby Budget Referendum May 6th from 6 am to 8 pm

The East Granby Budget Referendum will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. at the Senior and Community Center for the purpose of voting on the following question(s):

"Shall the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 in the amount of $4,436,000 for the General Government; $15,125,000 for the Board of Education; $691,013 for Debt Service; $450,000 for the Capital Reserve Fund; totaling $20,702,013 be adopted as recommended by the Board of Finance?" Voters approving said question will vote " YES" Those opposing said question will vote "NO". 

The following non-binding advisory questions will also be included on the ballot:

"In your opinion is the General Government Budget in the amount of $4,436,000, an increase of 2.1% for Fiscal Year 2014/2015, too low or too high?"

"In your opinion is the Board of Education Budget in the amount of $15,125,000, an increase of 3.1% for Fiscal Year 2014/2015, too low or too high?"

Absentee Ballots will be available in the Town Clerk's office at 9 Center Street in accordance with CT State law. Town Government, Board of Education and Board of Finance budget information is available at www.eastgranbyct.org.
