EAST GRANBY, CT — A $5 investment in a CT Lottery ticket purchased at a convenience store on Route 20 turned into a windfall worth more than $150,000 for a lucky player.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, hails from Northfield, an unincorporated village in the town of Litchfield. Their purchase of a Fast Play - $5 Moneybags Progressive ticket at the Phillips 66 station (formerly Airport Sunoco) yielded a prize of $154,183, according to the CT Lottery website.

The winnings were claimed Tuesday, according to the website.
