East Granby School Lockdown Lifted
Police continue to investigate after a report of a student who was possibly in possession of a weapon.
EAST GRANBY, CT — The lockdown at East Granby's high school and middle school was lifted Tuesday morning after a report of a student who was possibly in possession of a weapon.
Police were notified that a student may be in possession of a weapon on the school bus and the schools were placed into lockdown as a precaution.
The schools which are both located at 95 South Main St. were searched by police.

It was later determined that the incident with the possible weapon occurred on Friday.
A person of interest has been identified and the investigation continues, police said. No arrests have been made as of late Tuesday morning.
