East Granby Lions 2nd Annual Rubber Duck Derby

The 2nd Annual East Granby Lions Rubber Duck Derby is being held at Granbrook Park in East Granby on September 6th from 11 am to 2 pm.  There will be food, live music and activities with the Duck Race starting at 1:30 pm.  $5 adopts a duck for the race and you need not be present to win.  The ducks will be dropped off the Salmon Brook Greenway bridge and the ducks will make a mad dash to the finish line.  

The first prize is a $1,000 Visa Gift Card, second prize is a $500 Visa Gift Card, third prize is a $150 Restaurant Gift Card Package of $25 certificates to assorted restaurants,  and fourth prize is two tickets redeemable at the East Granby Lions's Fall Turkey Dinner.  

All proceeds from the race support the East Granby Lions charitable efforts in and around town that includes advocacy for the blind, college scholarships, support for the Boy & Girl Scouts, Little League and many other local organizations. Duck adoption tickets are available at the East Granby Library, the Town Clerk's Office, the Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoons and from any East Granby Lion Club member
