
Judith Ann Swanson, of East Granby and Old Lyme, beloved wife of John Swanson, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Hartford Hospital.
Born in Montague Massachusetts to the late Henry and Nellie (Bixby) Paulin, she has been an East Granby resident for over 30 years. Judith worked as a paralegal for many years before helping with administration for her husband's business. She was a talented singer/songwriter and artist and belonged to many organizations including the West Hartford Art League, Avon Art Assoc and CT Songwriters. An exceptional and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be dearly missed.
Besides her husband John of East Granby she is survived by her son Michael Swanson of Woodland Park, CO; her daughter Heather Pease and her husband Edward of West Hartford; her brother David Paulin and his wife Pamela of Greenfield, MA; and her grandchildren Faith Pease and Victoria Swanson. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Paulin.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial gathering will be held at Vito's By the Water 1936 Blue Hills Ave Ext Windsor on Friday September 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
