Granby's MeadowBrook Easter Basket Silent Auction Raises $3,100

Funds will be donated to the Waste Not Want Not Community Dinner

The following is a press release

MeadowBrook of Granby recently hosted the 2nd Annual Easter Basket Silent Auction to raise funds for the Waste Not Want Not Community Dinner held each week in Granby. This year 48 baskets were donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals from Granby and neighboring towns. The event raised $3,100 which will go directly to the dinner.

Lori Blackburn, community coordinator at MeadowBrook, commented “The outpouring of support from the businesses and individuals that donated a basket as well as those who came to bid was incredible. We live in a very generous community and I am extremely grateful to all those that participated. These are tough economic times, but people really pulled together for a great cause. We hope that next year we will have even more people join us. We had a lot of fun and the baskets were just beautiful.”

MeadowBrook is managed by Athena Health Care Systems.
