A Demonstration of Antique Musical Devices

East Granby Historical Society will host a program entitled “A Demonstration of Musical Devices” on Monday, January 16th.

East Granby resident Lee Brody will display and demonstrate several mechanical musical instruments from the late 1800s and early 1900s that are operated by paper rolls, wooden rolls, or metal discs.  The collection belonged to Brody's late grandfather Allen Galpin, who displayed them in Ye Olde Music Shoppe and Museum in Newfield, NY, which he operated until 1984.

The program will take place at the East Granby Senior/Community Center beginning immediately after the 7PM business meeting.  The presentation is open to the public and is free of charge.
