Fatal Fall Ruled Accidental for East Granby Student, Autopsy Shows
The East Granby college student fell from a Hartford rooftop.

EAST GRANBY, CT — An autopsy has determined that the death of an 18-year-old college freshman from East Granby who fell from the roof of a Hartford building was an accident, a staffer from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Thursday.
The incident took place early on March 3 and the official cause of death was blunt trauma to the head, torso and extremities, according to the autopsy results.
Taylor Lavoie, a 2016 graduate of East Granby High School who was attending Central Connecticut State University, was found unresponsive in an alley next to the Angry Bull Saloon on Allyn Street in Hartford at 12:31 a.m., according to police records.

She was pronounced dead at 12:45 a.m., Hartford Police Department Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said.
An investigation indicated that Lavoie was on the roof of the building and fell four stories to the alley below.

Lavoie is believed to have been in the Angry Bull prior to her death, according to Foley.
