Firefighters Extinguish House Fire in Granby
Fifteen members of the Lost Acres Fire Department brought the blaze under control in about and hour and a half.

Fifteen firefighters from the Lost Acres Fire Department extinguished a small fire at a residence on Notch Road early this morning, according to the fire chief.
Chief John Horr Jr. said that no injuries were reported as a result of a fire at 135 Notch Road, which took about an hour and a half to extinguish. The call, which was made by one of the residents, Chad Schreindorfer, came in around 1:15 a.m., according to Horr.
Horr, for his part, commended the job of the volunteer firefighters.
“The guys did a great job as usual,” Horr said.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, though it started close to a small wood burning stove, said Horr, who added that the damage was limited to one wall of the home, which is still habitable.
Horr said that the Granby fire marshal would investigate the cause of the blaze some time today.
