Frontier Increases Internet Speeds in Granby

Frontier Communications today announced major high speed Internet upgrades for customers across Connecticut. As a result of Frontier’s significant infrastructure upgrades thousands of residential and business customers can now access high-speed Internet service that is nearly three times faster than previously available Internet speeds.

Qualified customers can now upgrade to Internet service with speeds of up to 115 megabits-per-second (Mbps). This latest boost in speed improves internet capabilities, allowing customers to download an HD music video in less than a minute or an HD movie in less than two minutes. The increased speed also allows users who engage in social media to upload photos and videos faster, particularly on Facebook and Instagram.

“Frontier recognizes the increasing customer demand for higher speeds and we are continuously working to invest in and improve our infrastructure in an effort to offer faster, affordable service to our customers,” said Ken Arndt, Frontier’s East Region President.

These infrastructure upgrades are part of Frontier’s commitment to invest $480 million over the next three years to improve technology and infrastructure that will boost broadband speeds and enhance the residential and commercial customer experience throughout Connecticut.
