Granby-Area Taxpayers - Need an Extension?
The IRS offers tips on how to apply for extra filing time.

The Internal Revenue Service has an online page that provides information on how to apply for an extension of time to file income taxes.
The IRS said to be aware that an extension of time to file your return does not grant you any extension of time to pay your taxes.
April 18 is the deadline this year to pay taxes owed and avoid penalty and interest charges, the IRS said.
The IRS said Form 4868, serves as the application for "automatic extension of time to file U.S. individual income tax return."
Connecticut Department of Revenue Services Commissioner Kevin Sullivan said the extra time to April 18 is because this year, the regular April 15 deadline is being pushed back by the Washington, D.C. “Emancipation Day” holiday.
