Granby and East Granby Dog Owners: Renew Licenses in June

Editor’s note: We published this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.

All dogs over the age of 6 months must be licensed on or before June 30, 2015.

The license is valid from July 1 through June 30. All licensed dogs must wear the tag on their collar. Dogs new to you that are 6 months old or older must be licensed within 30 days of obtaining them.

To license your dog, fill out a Connecticut Dog License Application (pick up in your Town Clerk’s office or see info below), and mail or bring in person to your Town Clerk’s office.

Granby Dog Licensing Info:

Licensing Fees

• $8 for a spayed or neutered dog
• $19 for an unsprayed or unneutered dog
• Late fee (after the month of June) $1 per month

Licenses may be obtained in person at the Granby Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours, Monday through Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. You may also obtain licenses through the U.S. Postal Service. Should you choose to use the mail, please print the form and return it with full payment to the Town Clerk, 15 North Granby Road in Granby, CT, 06035, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of dog tags. Checks must be marked payable to “Town of Granby.”

East Granby Dog Licensing Info:

All dogs must have proof of a current rabies vaccination on file.

You may renew your dog license(s) online by using your MasterCard, Visa, or Discover credit cards, debit card or electronic check. There is a $1.75 convenience fee added to allow for this online service. This is a renewal service only and is not available for first-time registrations and kennel licenses. All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination. Simply go the eastgranbyct.org and click on I Want To...or click on the the Dog License tab of the Town Clerk’s web page.

When licensing by mail, please include a self-addressed envelope with 70¢ postage and mail it to: Town Clerk, PO Box TC East Granby, CT 06026.
