Granby Man Accused of DUI in Stolen Car
Geoffrey McNeil was arrested on a multitude of charges.

A Granby man was arrested and charged with stealing a car, driving it drunk and using a cell phone while driving Friday evening, according to the Journal Inquirer.
Geoffery McNeil, 35, was reportedly on his cell phone when he passed a police officer at the intersection of Elm Street and Route 75 in Windsor Locks. The officer checked the car’s plates, the Journal Inquirer reported, and discovered that the car had been reported stolen that day in Simsbury.
The officer stopped McNeil near the corner of Halfway House Road and reportedly found him both drunk and drinking while driving.

McNeil was charged with first-degree larceny by possession, drinking while driving, drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, using a cell phone while driving and reckless driving. He was held on $75,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Monday in Enfield Superior Court.
