Granby Man Killed in Route 10 Crash

The crash happened at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Friday.

Police have said that 71-year-old Granby resident Anthony Mazziotti was killed in a Route 10 crash on Friday.

At 4:41 p.m. Granby police, fire, and EMS units responded to a two vehicle crash at Rt. 10/Rickwood. A 2006 Lexus sedan operated by Mazziotti was northbound on Route 10 and collided with a southbound 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan operated by Natalie Lynch, 45, of Southwick, MA.

A LifeStar medical helicopter was requested, but was unable to fly due to high winds.

Mazziotti died at Hartford Hospital and Lynch was admitted to St. Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting in the investigation. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Granby Police Department at 860-844-5335.
