Granby Memorial High School Student Wins Miss Greater Rockville

Danielle Sturgeon, 17, won the competition that is a preliminary to Miss Connecticut.

Danielle Sturgeon, 17, has been crowned the new Miss Greater Rockville.

Sturgeon competed on March 7 for the title, which is a preliminary to the Miss Connecticut competition, according to the Hartford Courant.

She sang “Of Monsters and Men” for her talent. She is a senior at Granby Memorial High School.

Sturgeon previously competed in the Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen Competition twice. She is planning on attending Florida State University to major in business.

The event was sponsored by the Rockville Community Alliance.
