Granby Memorial Nears Top 10 Spot in Softball Poll
The Bears shut out their first two opponents this season.

GRANBY, CT — A pair of shutouts to open the season resulted in the Granby Memorial High School softball team placing 12th in the latest balloting of coaches and media members.
The Bears (2-0) blanked Rockville and East Lyme to start the year, and have games scheduled this week with NCCC rivals Suffield and East Windsor.
Seymour (1-0) received eight of 13 first-place votes to top the balloting for the second straight week.
