Granby Middle School Student Wins State Spelling Bee
She will represent Connecticut in the national bee in May just outside of Washington, D.C.

A Granby Memorial Middle School student reigned supreme Saturday in the Connecticut Spelling Bee at Quinnipiac University.
Dwaritha Ramesh, an eighth-grade student at the school, correctly spelled "tonsillectomy" as her final word to prevail in the competition over 62 other students ranging from grades 4 through 8.
"Dwaritha said the key was remembering the double ll’s," said GMMS principal Susan Henneberry.

Henneberry said. "In addition to being a skilled speller, Dwaritha is an accomplished scholar, musician and leader.
