
Beatrice Viola (Sutton) Ambrose, 88, lifelong resident of Rocky Hill, passed away at Meadowbrook of Granby on Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Ambrose.
Born in Rocky Hill, she was the daughter of Walter and Viola (Shelley) Sutton. Before retiring, she worked an assembler for Royal Typewriter and also worked at Travelers Insurance Company. She was a member of the Jr Women's Club of Rocky Hill, the Rocky Hill Senior Center and the Hobby Club in Florida. Being an avid knitter, she was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed RV traveling with her husband and loved her four legged companion, Buddy.
Beatrice leaves behind her nephews, John, Richard, Robert and Paul Sutton and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gaylord S. Sutton.

The family would like to thank Masonicare Hospice and the nurse and staff on the 2nd floor of Meadowbrook for their care and compassion.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 11am at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. There are no calling hours.
