Granby Obituary: Bogdan Wisniewski, 72

Condolences to his family and friends.

Bogdan Wisniewski, 72, of North Granby, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 8, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Halina for 50 years.

Born in Poland, son of the late Kazimierz and Leokadia (Rejniak) Wisniewski, he came to this country at age 18 and was employed by Barnes Aerospace in Windsor for many years. He was a North Granby resident for 35 years and a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. After retirement, he enjoyed winters in Arizona, exploring desert trails on his electric scooter and spending time with his wife and in-laws, Irene and Bob.

Bogdan was devoted to his family and had a generous and giving nature that was selfless to all who knew him. He had a tenacity for life, pursued skiing, skating, boating with reckless determination. He could fix anything mechanical and was hard worker. He also enjoyed watching world class tennis and soccer, and feeding birds and stray cats.
