
Bruce R. Johnson, 58 , of Granby and formerly of Milford and Manchester, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home.
Bruce was born January 31, 1957 in Ridgway, PA, the son of Robert M. Johnson and I. Joanne (Smith) Johnson who both precede him in death. He grew up in Wilcox, PA and attended the Johnsonburg/Wilcox Area Schools. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Bruce was employed by The Guitar Centers Corporation as a member of the elite retail sales team. He also served in management roles in two Guitar Centers retail stores for several years. Bruce was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many outdoor activities. He was an accomplished guitarist and loved music.
He loved his dogs, Buzz and Buck. His sense of humor was legend and he was loved and admired by family members and his many friends and colleagues. He is sorely missed.

He is survived by his sister, Jane Johnson Conter and her husband, Kevin, of Glastonbury, two nieces, Erin of Oakland, CA and Laura of Pittsburgh, PA and the love of his life, Barbara Guarco of Granby, with whom he shared an intensely happy life.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, on Monday, December 21 from 5 – 8 pm.

Memorial donations may be made in Bruce’s honor to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
