Granby Obituary: Florence Herrmann, 96

Florence “Flo” A. Herrmann, 96, of Enfield, widow of the late Edward Herrmann (1990), entered into eternal peace Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Meadowbrook in Granby.

A daughter of the late Peter and Irma (Holtz) Gastiger, Flo was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She had been a resident of the Enfield community since 1960, and was a charter parishioner of Holy Family Church. She loved gardening and cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by four daughters, Ellen Typrowicz and her husband Richard of Enfield, Patricia Smith of Enfield, Nancy Herrmann of Windsor, and Frances Nussbaum of Granby. She also leaves nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Gastiger, and a sister, Norma Faas.

Funeral services and burial are private.
