Granby Obituary: Judith Hart, 77

Condolences to her family and friends.

If you ever needed any help with your garden, Judith Callahan Hart (born August 27, 1939) was the one to call! You knew her as Judy and her green thumb was well known about the town of Granby, where she grew up and lived for most of her life. She passed over to a new garden on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the age of 77 and will be a blessing to those who need weeding done, this was her 'mediation'.

Her spirit will live on in her 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren whom she adored and loved. She was a fabric artist and created hundreds of beautiful hand designed quilts which she shared with her family and friends throughout the years. Judy loved music and dancing. She was not shy about dancing anywhere (grocery stores, beaches, every single party) and in her last couple years at MeadowBrook of Granby, she captivated the staff with her wily ways.

Her favorite place was the ocean. When her children were younger and still living at home, she would pack up the station wagon and take all 5 to the beach each weekend; tents, coolers, sleeping bags, each trip was an adventure and the family still shares the stories.
