Granby Obituary: Judith Laiuppa, 67

Judith T. Laiuppa, 67, of Granby, beloved wife of Paul Laiuppa, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Baystate Hospital in Springfield, MA.

Born in New Britain to the late Peter and Lucy (Jaskulowski) Weksner, she has been a Granby resident for the last 40 years and was a member of St. Therese Church in Granby. Judy owned and operated Stargazer Video in Granby with her husband for many years before starting her own Tai Chi classes, which she taught in Granby and surrounding towns for 20 years. But her true passion was her family, especially her grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.

Besides her husband Paul of Granby, she is survived by her son Michael Laiuppa and his wife Leslie of West Simsbury; her daughter Karen Laiuppa of Tempe, AZ; and her grandchildren, Jonathan, Kyra, Aspen and Caelyn.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Saturday, July 29 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave in Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 8 AM to 9:45 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
