Granby Obituary: Kenneth Stafford, 64

Condolences to his family and friends.

Kenneth Stafford, 64, of Granby, beloved husband of Kathleen A. "Kathy" Stafford of Granby, unexpectedly passed away after a brief illness on January 21, 2018.

He was born in Hartford on September 29, 1953, son of the late Eleanor Jones and Paul J. Stafford He was a graduate of Granby High School. After attending Northwest Community College, Ken worked as a Service Technician for Nidec Minster Corporation, formerly Press Masters, for over 40 years. He enjoyed sports, especially NFL & NASCAR. He spent many happy hours working tirelessly in his yard. Ken was a loving grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his two young grandchildren, Alix and Jaxon.

In addition to his wife Kathleen, he leaves his father, Paul J. Stafford of Glastonbury; three children, Ryan Stafford of Granby, Jackelyn Stafford of Manchester, and Jess Turner of Granby; two grandchildren, Alix Carter and Jaxon Stafford; his siblings, Thomas Stafford, Paula Stafford Bigley, and David Stafford; step-brother, Robert Jones; mother-in-law, Shirley Schaub; many nieces and nephews and their families, as well as a host of cousins, friends, and co-workers. Ken was predeceased by his mother Eleanor and infant sister, Kathy Jo Stafford.

His services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 with visitation from 3-5 p.m. followed by a service beginning at 5 p.m. at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. Private burial will held in Granby Cemetery.

Ken lovingly and generously provided for his family throughout his life and would encourage those seeking to honor his memory to please send monetary donations to his wife and her family.
