Granby Obituary: Leona Plourde, 94

Leona (Paradis) Plourde, 94, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 30, 1922 in Eagle Lake, ME to the parents of Hector and Florida Paradis. Leona moved to Connecticut in 1957 and worked at Colt Firearms for 30 years until she retired to Ellenton, FL where she remained until 2003. She then returned to Connecticut to live out her remaining years with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Juanita Belanger and her husband Roger of Fort Kent, ME; a brother O’Neil Paradis of Engelwood, FL; and four children, Ethel Walsh and her husband Edward of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn Plourde of East Granby, Clayton Plourde and his wife Marcy of East Granby, and Maria Plourde of Vero Beach, FL; as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the convenience of the family.
