Marion “Cookie” Gegetskas, 73, of Granby, entered eternal peace on July 14, 2017, at home with her family and her faithful companion, Amy, by her side. She was the daughter of the late Joseph N. Lata.
Besides her beloved husband of 42 years, Robert B. Gegetskas, she is survived by her son Mark Morell and his wife Dina of Enfield and two daughters, Debra Morell of East Windsor and Suzette Morell and her significant other Andrew of Windsor. She also leaves her grandson, Christian B. Morell of Florida.
Cookie focused much of her attention on being a wife, mother, and devoted caregiver to all of her pets throughout the years. Cookie was a one-of-a-kind, well-known and loved for her outspokenness and pointed opinions about most things in life, often the source of many discussions and much laughter. Cookie will be deeply missed as a loving and caring force in all our lives.
