Granby Obituary: Raymond Jones, 67

Condolences to his family and friends.

Raymond "Skip" Edwin Jones, 67, of Enfield, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

A caring and devoted husband of 32 years, he leaves his wife Kathleen A. Jones of Enfield. Skip was born in Corning, NY on December 10, 1948, son of Mary Jane Jones Webster of Mansfield, PA and the late Raymond D. Jones, and grew up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. He spent many hours working alongside his parents and siblings as the family cared for fifty or so Holstein cows. Skip attended schools in Pennsylvania and in 1982 relocated to Connecticut living for a short time in Granby. He finally settled in Enfield where he resided for 35 years.

Skip was a hard worker and generously provided for his family working at Carpenter and Chapman and as a machinist at CUNO. He had an enormous heart that was dedicated to his loved ones as well as the New York Yankees whom he rooted for in his many trips to the Stadium with Nicole or from his chair with Ella by his side. A kind and thoughtful man, his love for his family and friends was evident to all who knew him.
