Granby Obituary: Richard Buynicki, 83

Richard Peter Buynicki, 83, lifelong resident of Suffield entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Meadow Brook of Granby with his niece Sandra by his side.

Richard was born July 18, 1933, in Suffield the son of the late Paul P. and Anna V. (Oles) Buynicki. He proudly served in the United States Army serving during peacetime. Richard was employed at the former Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Co. in Thompsonville as a supervisor retiring in 1971. Richard was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, tending to his garden, and raising tropical fish.

He is survived by a niece, Sandra Landolina and her husband, Kevin of East Granby; a great- nephew and a great- niece, Maxwell David and Sophie Alice Landolina. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Edward P. Buynicki and his wife Shirley (Hebert) Buynicki, and three nephews, William, Robert, and David Buynicki.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family Monday, February 13, 2017 for a 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Committal will follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
