Granby Obituary: Sarah Noell, 53

Sarah E. (Nutt) Noell, 53, formerly of Granby, beloved wife of David Noell, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Born in Hartford to Shelby (Hubbard) Nutt and the late Charles Nutt, she had been a Granby resident for over 12 years before moving to Simsbury this year. Sarah earned her Bachelors degree in piano and music education from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, and worked as a music teacher for many years. Sarah had a passion for music but her main focus was her family and friends, especially taking care of her granddaughter.

Besides her husband David of Simsbury, she is survived by her mother Shelby (Hubbard) Nutt of West Hartford; her sons, William Noell of Windsor and Christopher Noell of Simsbury; her brothers, David Nutt and his wife Anne of Vernon, Jonathan Nutt and his wife Pawana of Bangkok, Thailand; her sister Rebecca Nowell and her husband David of West Hartford; her granddaughter Kaylee; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 9 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 10 at the First Church of Christ Congregational in West Hartford, 12 South Main St., followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
