
Yolanda (Petrone) Bednaz, 88, of West Suffield, beloved wife of the late Fred E. Bednaz, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home.
Born January 15, 1928 in Enfield daughter of the late Vincent and Emila (Grimaldi) Petrone, she grew up in Enfield, lived in Suffield for many years before living in Florida and North Granby before moving to West Suffield four years ago. Before retiring she had worked at Hamilton Standard. Yolanda enjoyed cooking for family and friends for any occasion.
She is survived by three children, Donna Mockalis and her husband, Greg of NC, Patricia Cafarelli and her husband, Barry of FL, Steven Bednaz and his wife, Roxane of West Suffield; two sisters, Rosetta Contois and her husband, Donald of Enfield, Gilda Petrone-Russo and her husband, John of SC; nine grandchildren, Michael and Courtney Bednaz, Rebecca Gritti and her husband, Don, Barry Cafarelli and his wife, Sarah, Kimberly Moreland and her husband, Ben, Christopher Bednaz, Cassandra Rozanski and her husband, Kevin, Tracy Bistany and her husband, Chickjohn, Jesse Bednaz; great grandchildren, Landen, Gwen, Trever, Ryan and Austin. She was predeceased by a son, Frederick Bednaz, Jr.; three brothers, Carmon, Ernest and Ermy Petrone.

Her family will receive friends Monday, November 7, 2016 from 10-11 AM followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt.159), Suffield. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield.
