Granby Patch Welcomes Two Student Sports Reporters
Can't get enough Granby sports? Then you're in luck because Patch is pleased to welcome two new student sports reporters to our team!

You may recognize their names from their spots blog Granby Sports and now Granby Patch is pleased to announce our partnership with student reporters Jake King and Joey Noyes.
Jake and Joey cover all types of sporting events in Granby and reach the youth that they cover with social media by live tweeting the games and blogging.
Jake King is a senior at Granby Memorial High School (GMHS). A multi-sport athlete, Jake plays hockey in the fall and winter, baseball in the spring and Whiffle ball in the summer. He founded a league in town which he ran for three years and plans to do continue this summer.

“We buy uniforms, keep stats and even have a website,” Jake said. “It is a lot of fun as we get to get outside with all the guys and just play. This fall my friend Joey and I thought it would be a good idea to live tweet the sporting events at GMHS. I‘m very interested in sports writing and I thought I would give it shot and see how I like it.”
Joey Noyes is also a senior at GMHS and plays basketball and tennis.

“I enjoy watching and playing all kinds of sports, which is why Jake and I made the Granby Sports Twitter account and blog. I also played for the Granby soccer team my first 3 years in high school, but decided to just focus on basketball and tennis this year,” Joey said.
Jake and Joey plan on writing articles for Granby Patch on a weekly basis. Granby Patch is very excited to welcome them to our team!
