There is much talk in educational communities about the importance of secondary language opportunities in our school systems. For good reasons, most school systems around the country are discussing how to drive it into the earliest grades possible. This generation - more than ever - is growing up in a global society and the skills are becoming ever more important.
So, as adults, how many times have you wished that you had started or continued your secondary language studies? Well, no more excuses - it’s not too late! The Granby Recreation Department is now offering Adult Elementary Spanish and Italian classes. You do not need to be a Granby resident. Classes will meet once a week at Holcomb Farm from 6:30-8pm beginning the last week in September and will run through mid-December. Spanish is Monday nights and Italian is Wednesday nights at Holcomb Farm.
