To complete the second part of registration, families will need to provide several documents. Required paperwork includes proof of residency such as a deed, mortgage bill from the last 30 days, a signed lease agreement, or a notarized letter from Town Hall. Parents must also submit the child’s birth certificate and a parent or guardian driver’s license or other photo identification.
Additional documents may be required in some cases, including custody or guardianship paperwork. Medical records are also required, including a recent physical exam, lead screening, and an updated immunization record.
School officials also noted that state regulations require children entering kindergarten to receive a developmental screening before the school year begins. Those screenings will take place in May and will be scheduled by appointment. Additional information about screening appointments will be provided later.
