Granby Seeks Volunteers, Officials Say

Town officials are seeking four volunteers, including residents with building and financial experience.

GRANBY, CT — Granby is looking for volunteers to serve on a newly formed Public Building and Capital Project Committee, a board that will help oversee town building work and other capital projects.

Town officials said four public volunteers are needed for the committee. Members will be appointed to five-year terms, with the town specifically seeking at least one person with building experience and at least one with financial experience.

The committee is expected to meet at least once a month in the evening to help launch projects and track their progress.

Applications are due by April 15, 2026, through the town’s volunteer form.

Granby also noted that minority representation rules apply to the committee, meaning no more than five members of the same political party can be appointed. Applicants are being asked to include their political affiliation in their background information.
