Granby Senior Center Ends Active Aging Week with a Fun Celebration

Italian Dinner, Active Aging Week, Senior Center

The Granby Senior Center ended a week-long celebration of Active Aging week with an
Italian Dinner and Dance on Friday, September 29th. Sixty people attended the
event along with notable guests including State Representative Bill Simanski
and new Town Manager John Ward. The dinner was provided by Suffield by the
River, a Senior Residential Community as well as the Senior Center staff. East Chicago Joe provided great music for dancing and singing along.

The Active Aging Week campaign calls attention to and wholeheartedly celebrates the
positivity of aging today. It showcases the capabilities of older adults as
fully participating members of society and spotlights the role models that lead
the way. The seniors of Granby prove that over and over and they sure know how
to have fun!!
