Instead of giving Connor Field Athlete of the week once again, the Granby Football team is this week’s team of the week. The Bears are on a 3-game winning streak after they defeated Coventry on Saturday (10/11/14) afternoon at 3 pm. The Den was packed for this homecoming matchup and the boys were hyped. QB Dom Pagano became the first Granby QB to win 3 of his first 5 starts, and it is only Pagano’s first year as a QB. With the new offense put in place by Gadoury the Bears look like they can be a strong contender in their conference.
They have rallied off 3 wins in a row while racking up a combined 148 points in those 3 contests. Pagano has thrown for 3 TDs this season and has rushed for 6, Connor Field has rushed for 1152 yards in 5 games and has 12 rushing TDs. Connor has quickly emerged onto the scene becoming one of the top players in the entire state. When the bears are in need of a short run or big defensive play, Logan Strain fills the void. He has a couple of TDs on the year and has recorded many clutch tackles for the bears defense.
