Granby State Sen. Kevin Witkos and Challenger Melissa Osborne Debate

Witkos the incumbent Republican debated his Democratic rival Melissa Osborne in Canton.

Incumbent State Sen. Kevin Witkos (R-8) debated his Democratic rival Melissa Osborne at a debate held in Canton.

Witkos highlighted his experience as a four-term senator and eight years before that as a state representative and said that experience helps when it comes to things like the complex state budget, according to the Hartford Courant.

Osborne said Witkos hasn’t done enough to keep children away from firearms and criticized his vote against mandating hospitals provide contraceptives to rape victims. Witkos said it was an attack on Catholic hospitals.
