Granby Stores Pass Underage Alcohol Sales Check
Check was conducted during the week of May 21.

The following is a press release from the Granby Police Department
During the week of May 21, 2012, the Granby Police Department conducted compliance checks of all establishments licensed for the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in town. The checks consisted of attempted purchases of alcoholic beverages by minors made under the supervision and control of Granby Police Officers. The minors presented their true identification to establishments if asked, and at no time misrepresented their ages.
No violations were detected.

Of the six licensed establishments in Granby, employees at all requested identification from the minors and refused to complete a sale of alcoholic beverages. The specific locations covered by the compliance check were:
, 8 Mill Pond, , 120 Salmon Brook St., , 10 Hartford Ave., , 9 Bank St., 9 Bank, and , 496 Salmon Brook St.
