Granby Street Re-Opened Following Car Accident [UPDATED]

Utility work was being performed where a car crashed into a pole earlier Friday, police said.

GRANBY, CT — At 2:45 p.m., Capt. William Tyler said East Street was now reopened following extensive utility work to replace a pole.

GRANBY, CT — East Street in Granby is temporarily closed due to utility work related to an earlier car vs. pole motor vehicle accident, police said.

No injuries resulted from the accident, Capt. William Tyler said.

A local detour is posted, but truck traffic should avoid the area completely as they may have difficulty negotiating the route, Tyler said.

Around 11 a.m., Tyler said the estimated time for road closure is six hours. Power outages may occur in the East Street and Wells Road areas.
