It's Perfect Weather for a Free Movie at East Granby Library

East Granby Public Library hosts Free movies every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

Each Wednesday the East Granby Public Library hosts a free movies at 1:00 p.m. Today’s special feature is “Heaven Is For Real,” the story of a father who must find the courage to share his son’s life changing experience. The film is rated PG, with a running time of 104 minutes.

The following is a list of upcoming films to be featured at the library, courtesy of East Granby Public Library:

August 27th - “Belle” - Rated PG runs 104 minutes. Inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle (the illegitimate mixed race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay). Raised by her aristocratic great-uncle Lord Mansfield and his wife.

September 3rd - “Draft Day” - Rated PG13, runs 110 minutes. On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver has the opportunity to save football in Cleveland when he trades for the number one pick. He must quickly decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of perfection as the lines between his personal and professional life become blurred on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with dreams of playing in the NFL.

September 10th - “Words and Picture” Rated PG13, runs 111 minutes. A witty romantic drama, Prep School English teacher Jack Marcus laments his students’ obsession with social media and good grades rather than engaging in the power of the written word.
