Organizers say the camp is designed to give teens a realistic look at how emergency services operate, with demonstrations and training activities led by local police, firefighters and EMS personnel.

Participants will see a LifeStar helicopter landing demonstration, watch a K-9 unit in action and learn CPR, first aid and AED skills. The program will also include a mock motor vehicle crash with extrication, felony stop and DUI demonstrations and a ride on “The Convincer,” a seat belt simulator used to show the effects of crashes.
