Local Athletes Fare Well at Class S Track and Field Meet

An East Granby hurdler took home a fourth-place finish.

High school track and field teams from several Patch towns in northern and central Connecticut had successful outings Thursday in the Class S championships at Willow Brook Park in New Britain.

Bloomfield dominated the boys' and girls' competition; the boys had 144 points to 84 for Old Saybrook, while the girls accumulated 157 points to nearly double runnerup Coginchaug's 81.

Here are individual scoring results for athletes from schools in Patch towns in north-central Connecticut. An asterisk (*) indicates the athlete qualified for the June 6 State Open at Willow Brook Park.
