Major Road Through Granby to Be Closed Sunday Night

GRANBY, CT — The Granby Police Department has announced a major road closure that will affect motorists Sunday night.

Route 10, or Salmon Brook Street in Granby, will be closed in the area of Canton Road from 8 p.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Monday. A detour will be posted on Hartford Avenue (Route 189) and Floydville Road.

The closure is due to the installation of bridge shoring related to a heavy load move being escorted by the Connecticut State Police. Delays should be expected and the area avoided if possible, police said.
