GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — College students from the Granbys recently achieved these notable accomplishments, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Ben Hebert of Granby, who is studying mechanical engineering, made the Dean's List for the 2017 spring semester at Rochester Institute of Technology. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Seton Hall University, South Orange NJ

  • Seton Hall University is pleased to announce a pair of local students, Tess Borsecnik of West Granby and Lauren Mangine of East Granby, qualified for spring 2017 Dean's list and to congratulate them for their outstanding academic achievements. Qualifications for Dean's list include enrolling as a full-time matriculated student with a minimum of 12 undergraduate credits, completing all courses with a GPA of 3.4 or above, and with no grades lower than "C".

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

  • The 46th Commencement of Tunxis Community College was held on May 25 in the College’s courtyard.A total of 307 graduates were conferred associate degrees and certificates. Those who were conferred degrees in December 2016 were also recognized at the ceremony. Graduates from Granby are Faith Cosby, A.S. General Studies, CERT Early Childhood Education; and Kimberly Leydon, CERT Health Information Technology.
