National Weather Service Issues Flood Watch for Portions of Connecticut
Flash flood watch in effect until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon for portions of southern Conn. including the following areas:
>Northerns and Southern Fairfield County
>Northern and Southern Middlesex County

Heavy rains with possible flooding is expected. Roadways can become flooded. Drivers are advised not to drive through puddles and flooded roads. Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon with northeast winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Connecticut Light and Power is reporting thousands of outages in nearly 50 Connecticut towns with the most outages in Norwalk, with 2,435. There are 354 customers without power in Branford and 52 in Newtown.
