New Eatery Coming To East Granby

A familiar East Granby space is expected to get a new food business.

EAST GRANBY, CT — A familiar East Granby space is expected to get new life.

Lazy Fare, described by its owners as a “premium eatery and café,” is planned for 10 East Street, in the former home of The Craft Artisanal Bakery, according to a post shared by its owners.

The business is being opened by Omar Saad and Anndrea Salvatto, according to the public announcement and Connecticut business records.

State business records list Lazy Fare Hospitality Group LLC as an active domestic limited liability company registered March 30. The LLC lists Saad and Salvatto as principals, with both listed with Simsbury residence towns.

In the Facebook post, Omar said he grew up in East Granby, graduated from East Granby High School and still has family in town.

“There’s something special about coming home,” he wrote.

Omar described East Granby as a place shaped by “family, neighbors, soccer under the lights” and a community that supports one another.

“So it is with full hearts that my wife and I announce ‘Lazy Fare’ — our premium eatery and café — will be opening at 10 East Street,” the post said.

The owners said the café’s promise is “Fresh Food · Good Mood.” They said the menu will include crafted sandwiches, Mediterranean flavors, fresh salads, smoothies, breakfast items and more.

A launch date has not yet been announced. The owners said more details and “a few surprises” will be shared soon.
