The Board of Selectmen on Monday unanimously approved setting a public hearing for the third Monday in September (Sept. 16) to determine whether to make Doherty Road permanently one-way.
The narrow road that connects Silver Street and Granville Road was converted from two- to one-way during the Silver Street Bridge reconstruction.

First Selectman John Adams noted that the road appeared too narrow for Doherty to be a two-way street. Hence the discussion on whether to make the one-way move permanent.
