Opening Day Celebration at Valley Brook Community Church's New Church Campus

Valley Brook moves Sunday service to their new building located at 160 Granville Road, N. Granby starting June 28.

Valley Brook Community Church is holding their opening day services in their new building at 160 Granville Road, North Granby, on Sunday, June 28 followed by a baptism celebration and church-wide picnic.

In 2013 the congregation was given the Woodhaven Equestrian Center and adjoining estate through the generosity of Rod and Janice Reynolds. After receiving the gift, Valley Brook leadership began to plan and pray for the best way to convert the equestrian center into a church building. The priority was to provide ample space for worship services and classrooms for children. In addition, the church wanted to have a dedicated student center, a multipurpose room for meals, a kitchen and a significant space to create a café atmosphere. With those goals in mind, the existing equestrian center floor plan was re-purposed and the construction work began.

The first phase of the project is complete with Opening Day services scheduled on June 28. Phase one includes the multipurpose room and the classrooms as well as restrooms. The church offices and meeting spaces are also located in the new building. “Completing the first phase of this project will allow us to hold Sunday services and children’s classes on our church campus.” reports Pastor Clark Pfaff. “While we have been blessed to rent some great locations in town, it will be exciting to serve the community from one location beginning on June 28.” While the church will be in their new building this summer, a grand opening is being planned for the fall of this year.

On Opening Day, Valley Brook will hold two, identical services: 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. On Sundays in July and August the church will return to a single service at 9:30 a.m. Valley Brook offers a nursery for children who are infants through age two and grade specific classes for children and youth. Valley Brook’s desire is to “Love God. Love People. Change the World.” For more information about the church contact the office at 860-844-0001 or look them up on the web at www.valleybrook.cc.
