Parts of Alaska are Warmer Than Granby: Our Hour-by-Hour Temperature Drop

The good news? We won’t have to worry about snow until at least the weekend.

The bad news? Parts of the state will reach -20 degrees tonight with the windchill.

Once again the temperatures will be taking a dip into the teens and lower throughout Connecticut.

Hartford and Tolland counties are under a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Wind chill readings will reach as low as 20 below in some parts of the state. That strong of a wind chill can cause frostbite in just 30 minutes to exposed skin.

Want warmer temperatures? Head to Anchorage, AK where the temperature was a comparatively balmy 41 degrees with light rain Monday afternoon. In fact, high temperatures will be above freezing through Friday in the state known for polar bears and Sarah Palin.

4 p.m.: 16 degrees, wind chill feels like 1 degree.

6 p.m.: 8 degrees, feels like -8 with wind chill.

8 p.m.: 2 degrees, feels like -13 with wind chill.

Midnight: -3 degrees, feels like -17 degrees with wind chill.

6 a.m.: -11 degrees, feels like -11 degrees.

9 a.m.: 0 degrees, feels like -8 degrees.
