Police Release Photos of East Granby Bank Robbery Suspect

The suspect robbed the First National Bank of Suffield branch on Route 20 Monday morning.

State Police detectives have released a couple of photos of the suspect in a bank robbery that occurred at The First National Bank of Suffield in East Granby Monday.

Around 10:50 a.m., troopers from Troop H-Hartford and the East Granby Resident State Trooper’s Office responded to the reported bank robbery. Upon arrival, troopers spoke with bank employees who stated a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money the suspect fled the bank.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” with a husky build. The suspect was last seen wearing glasses and dark clothing, and was armed with a knife.

After exiting the bank, the suspect entered a black Chevy Tahoe and left the area. Witnesses were able to relay a partial registration plate of “KCB” to Troopers.

State Police Central District Major Crime (CDMC) detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Anyone with information about the bank robbery, or who may know the identity of the suspect, is asked to call CDMC detectives at 860-534-1000 or text TIP711 with the information to 236748.
